Qi praxis on offer

Weekly Outdoor

Thalia guides participants each week to engage with qi as a living current within the body. Working with this natural energy system to regulate participants’ state of being, restore balance and centred awareness.

Practice sessions are 45 minutes outdoors in Queenscliff, Northern Beaches. Each class is easy to follow and suitable for beginners through to advanced. It begins with breathwork and conditioning and refining forms, then moves into parts or full sequences of flows such as the Five Elements‍, Waking The Qi‍ and 12 Rivers, which work with our 12 organ meridians. Other forms we may touch on are Between Heaven and Earth, all from Long White Cloud, Small Universe Qigong.

Corporate Sessions

To counterbalance a sedentary workday, this movement-based healing practice is an effective way to release stuck energy and promote general well-being. In combination with the powerful tool of breathwork to down-regulate, it can help your team to feel calm and release tension and return to work more focused and productive.

Qigong is considered a movement meditation; expect a mix of static, passive and active movements and breathwork designed to release endorphins, boost serotonin, and regulate cortisol, restoring our sense of mental and emotional harmony. It’s a biological reminder that we are wired for rhythm, flow, as well as expression. Great for a pre-lunch session, to allow stress to dissipate, and return to our natural state and digest our lunch.

Effective also morning or end of the day, with no props or outfit change required! Encouraging a better work vibe and sense of ease in the workplace.

Workshops or Retreats

In Qigong, we look to balance yin and yang, passive and active energies. There are many forms and flows, themes and states of being we can achieve. Working with a desired outcome or complementing your Retreat, participants may be introduced to – Dantiens – or oceans of energy within you that act as reservoirs for the rest of your energy system.

Extraordinary Meridians, which flow like ocean currents, keep energy fresh, bringing energy to every part of your body. Or the central flow of energy through your body, which, when healthy and unblocked, brings a constant supply of healthy qi flow.

Organ Meridians that flow like rivers throughout the body, influencing the function of your internal organs, your posture, mental state and your emotions. Layering in associated colour, mudras and sound.

Energy points – also known as acupuncture points and pressure, their structure and function can be activated through Qigong instead of needles.

The phases of the five elements or harmonies relating to emotions, physical organs, seasons, colours, sounds and more.

Qigong's broad scope can offer tailored sessions suited to your Retreat, Festival or Event’s brand, theme and vibe.
